Who We Are
Chandler Elementary PTA, in the Valley Gateway Council, 31st District PTSA, is the Parent Teacher Association of Chandler Elementary School in Sherman Oaks. Chandler PTA is a non-profit volunteer organization made up of parents, families, teachers, and the community.
Our Purpose
Chandler PTA partners with teachers, staff, parents, families, and the community to create a safer, healthier, and more enriching environment where children can grow and excel. We are dedicated making every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Our Goals
Together We Will:
- Provide support for educational programs at Chandler.
- Promote social activities that heighten school spirit, encourage family togetherness, and promote humanitarian efforts within our community.
- Encourage and organize volunteer support for school and PTA programs and events.
- Increase interest, involvement, and understanding of our local PTA business. Build awareness about the critical role of the PTA in helping students reach their full potential.
- Conduct purposeful fundraising to support programs and events at Chandler.

Why You Should Participate
Build Roots in the Community. A large, involved PTA group sends a clear message to organizations, corporations and local businesses that we are committed to our school and the surrounding community. This lends strength to our message when seeking grants and donations from these establishments.
Make a Difference! It takes a lot of people to accomplish everything we do at Chandler and we need your help! The skills, passion, energy, and expertise you bring to the school are priceless. Without your help and fundraising, the many programs we offer may be unable to continue.
Get Connected. Whether through our Newsletter, E-mail Updates, the School Directory, our website, or our Facebook page, the PTA will keep you up to date about events, programs and school information. There's no better way to know what's happening at Chandler.
Be a Role Model. An involved PTA group sends a message to our children, other parents, neighborhood businesses, organizations, and corporations that we are committed to our children's success, the school, and the surrounding community. How You Can Participate
Whether you have 5 hours or 5 minutes, your involvement in the school and PTA is important to your child and all the students at Chandler.
